John L. Porter, 83

John L. Porter, age 83, of Broxton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Georgia following an extended illness. Mr. Porter was born on December 6, 1938, in Douglas, GA to the late David Hamilton "Doc" Porter and the late Ava Smith Porter.

Survivors include: Daughter, Marlene Porter of Deland, FL, Sister, Geneva Mobley of Broxton, GA, Sister, Bonnie (James) Brown of Broxton, GA, Grandchildren, John Adam Porter of Broxton, GA, Maggie Dickerson of Douglas, GA, and Niece, Angelina Koster of Broxton, GA. Preceded by: Father, David Hamilton "Doc" Porter; Mother, Ava Smith Porter.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 12, 2022, from 1:00PM to 2:00PM at Broxton Church of God. 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at 2:00PM, at Broxton Church Of God with Rev. Joey Copeland officiating. The Interment will follow at Reedy Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Broxton, GA.
