Richard Jerard "Rod" Stone, age 54, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Georgia following a brief illness. Mr. Stone was born on September 25, 1967, in Douglas, GA to Richard Stone and the late Bonnie Lou Kirkland Stone.
Survivors include: Wife, Tamra Stone of Douglas, GA, Father, Richard Stone of Douglas, GA, Son, Bud (Madison) Stone of Douglas, GA, Son, Jarrett Stone of Douglas, GA, Daughter, Breanna (Jackson) Carver of Tunkhannock, PA, Grandchildren, Albert Lee Wilcox of Douglas, GA, Maddox Alexander Carver of Douglas, GA, Sister, Tammy S (James) Carpenter of Viena, GA, Pam Stone of Douglas, GA, Niece, Megan Myers of Douglas, GA, Cady Youngblood of Douglas, GA, Nephew, Will Cady, Sister-in-Law, Laura Denning, Amy Jordan. Preceded by: Mother, Bonnie Lou Kirkland Stone.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 2:00 pm, at Saving Grace Ministries with Rev. Cliff Kirkland, Rev. Jimmy Jordan, and Rev. Benji Capps officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Timmy Stone, Richard Luke, Keith Carver, Stacy Henderson, Doug Coffey, Tony Davis, Joe Cichirillo, Bruce Rowell, Rickey Hersey, Tracy Lott, and Gale Hersey.
