Mrs. Cynthia Ann Edwards Deal, age 65, of Broxton, Georgia entered into rest on Saturday December 4, 2021.  Mrs. Deal was born on November 3, 1956 in Jeff Davis County, Georgia the daughter of the late Ralph Harris Edwards Sr. and the late Elyse McLean Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Donna Mims and Judy Courson.

 

Cynthia worked as a Media Specialist with the Coffee County School System, was a member of Douglas First Baptist Church and a member of the Daughters of the King Sunday School Class.

 

Survivors include her husband, Johnny Deal of Broxton, GA; son, John Morgan Deal (Brittany) of Macon, GA; 2 sisters, Linda Parlor (Kenny) of Hazlehurst, GA and Patricia Wilkes (E.M.) of Hazlehurst, GA; brother, Ralph H. (Bubba) Edwards Jr. (Shelia) of Hazlehurst, GA; bonus sister, Linda Deal of Douglas, GA; bonus daughter, Erica Deal of Tampa, FL; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

 

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Douglas First Baptist Church.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Douglas First Baptist Church with Dr. Don Hattaway, Rev. Brian Allen and Brother Shep Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Palms Memorial Gardens, Hazlehurst, Georgia. Pallbearers will be Tommy Wilkes, Drew Wilkes, Harris Edwards, Karson Kirkland, Keegan Land, Kollin Parlor, Kristopher Kirkland, Kristian Kirkland and Kolby Land. Honorary pallbearers will be Daughters of the King Sunday School Class.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital  262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
