Mr. T. J. Carver, age 78 of Ambrose, GA passed away Monday morning, March 13, 2023 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. Carver was born October 5, 1944 to the late Elmer Carver and the late Mary Lee Story Carver. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Sisters: Earnell Carver and Vernell Williams.
Mr. Carver, a native of Coffee County, was a retired truck driver for Elixir Industries, Justice Trucking and Coffee County Gin. He was a member of Wray Holiness Baptist Church where he had been a deacon for approximately 20 years. He loved spending time with his grand children and great grandchildren. In his younger days, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Later he developed a love for antique collecting, especially
antique clocks. His favorite place to be was either in the prayer closet or in church worshipping his Lord and Savior. If you have ever been in church with him you saw him do the "TJ Shuffle.”

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, March 14, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday afternoon, March 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Wray Holiness Baptist Church with Rev. Howard Holt, Rev. Steve Willingham, Rev. Daniel Smith and Rev. Kevin Vickers officiating. The internment will follow in Wray Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers for the service will be: Ethan Carver, Matthew "Fred" Merritt, David Medders, Jamie Medders, Jarrett Wilson and James Griffin.
