James Ira Bracewell, Jr., 81

Mr. James Ira Bracewell, Jr. age 81 of Douglas, GA passed away Monday morning, December 5, 2022 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Bracewell was born May 2, 1941 to the late James Ira Bracewell, Sr. and the late Algerine Wooten Bracewell. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years: Gwinnett Merritt Bracewell. 

Mr. Bracewell, a native of Coffee County, had been a diesel mechanic for both Ford Motor Company and Rite Diet Feed. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Irvin Bracewell and wife Wendy of Douglas, GA 

1 Brother: Charlie Bracewell and wife Elizabeth of Waycross, GA 

3 Grandchildren: Justin Bracewell and wife Candace of Broxton, GA 

Riley Bracewell of Douglas, GA 

Craig Thomas and wife Courtney of Ambrose, GA 

Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Many Friends 

The graveside service and interment will be held Friday morning, December 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Douglas Gospel Assembly Cemetery with Rev. Allen Peacock officiating. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, December 8, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home.
