John Daniel Anderson, 89

Mr. John Daniel Anderson, age 89 of West Green, passed away suddenly Saturday afternoon, December 3rd, 2022 at his residence. Mr. Anderson was born December 6, 1932 to the late Archie Monroe Anderson and the late Mattie Hutcheson Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Luke and Tommy Anderson; and two sisters, Mary Anderson and Martha Durrance. 

Mr. Anderson, a native of Ware County, was a member of Parkview Calvary Holiness Church. After 32 years of service, he retired as a bus driver with the Coffee County Board of Education. He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

His wife of 64 years: Lanet Kirkland Anderson of West Green, GA 

2 Daughters: Rose McElroy of Nicholls, GA 

Sandra Gore and husband James of Pearson, GA 

3 Sons: Mark Anderson and wife Athea of Nicholls, GA 

Tim Anderson of Nicholls, GA 

Terry Anderson and wife Brenda of Alma, GA 

9 Grandchildren and 26 Great Grand Children 

1 Brother: Joe Anderson of Nahunta, GA 

1 Sister: Bert Veal of Jacksonville, FL 

A special nephew: Russell Rae of Reidsville, GA 

A number of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. 

The funeral service will be held, Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Herschell Smith officiating. The interment will follow at Chatterton Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home. 

Active Pallbearers for the service will be: Kaden Anderson, Kale Anderson, Daniel McElroy, Hunter Forsyth, Josh Davis, Jake Forsyth, James Gore and Mike Reaves.
