Mr. Earlie Terrell McQuaig, age 83 of Broxton, GA passed away early Wednesday morning, November 30, 2022 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a short illness. He was born August 27, 1939 to the late William McQuaig and the late Lila Mae Courson McQuaig.
Earllie, a native of Waycross, GA, stepped into the aisle and walked down to the altar and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of 18. He dedicated his life to the Lord and his church. He service in the Florida Air National Guard for 8 years. He worked with Sunbeam Baking Company for 14 years. He also worked in the poultry industry for many years. After working in the poultry industry he worked as the plant manager of the ethanol plant in Douglas. He then moved to South Carolina to manage the ethanol plant in Kingstree, South Carolina for 15 years. After retiring, he moved back to Broxton and began his business of Hidden Acres Growers Greenhouses, where he specialized in Boston ferns and geraniums for 21 years. After closing his greenhouses, he spent the past several years growing and tending his garden, raising cows and chickens, where he loved sharing his vegetables and eggs with his neighbors and friends. He attended Broxton First Baptist Church.

Seth Thomas and wife Leigh Ann of Irwinville, GA
Grandchildren: Ashleigh Morris Hunter and husband Daniel Amber Lyrae Morris, Aeron Ray Morris and wife Kiley Cason Morris. Shad Steptoe, Harrison Steptoe, Chisum Steptoe, Paul McQuaig, Fisher McQuaig, Danielle Miller, Meagan Miller and Reilly Thomas.
Great Grandchildren: Tucker Hunter, Rayleigh Hunter, Silas Hunter,
Kaisley Morris, Kaibrey Morris, Conner McQuaig and Cal McQuaig.
Sister-In-Law and Brother-In-Law: Barbara Smith Lane and husband Raymond of Fleming Island, FL
Lifelong Friend: Charles Lee and wife Ann of Callahan, FL.
Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and many Friends.
The graveside service and interment will be Friday afternoon, December 2, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Rocky Pond Cemetery with Rev. George Carroll Paulk officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday afternoon, December 2, 2022 at 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Rocky Pond Baptist Church.
