APD searching for suspect after burglary of a storage unit, Alma man arrested for meth possession, other charges

Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, a W/M described as 6’ tall and 250 +/- lbs. with dark hair and a scruffy beard was observed removing four tires and wheels from a storage unit on Douglas St. The unknown W/M placed the tires and wheels into the bed of a red Chevrolet or GMC extended cab pickup truck with a silver stripe across the bottom and a black bull-bar bumper. The unknown W/M fled the area when approached by a witness. The tires and wheels were valued at $3000.00. If anyone recognizes the vehicle in the accompanying photo, please contact the Alma Police Department at 912-632-8751.
Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, APD arrested Shawn Michael Williams, 28 of Alma, for possession of methamphetamine and cruelty to animals following a trespass complaint.
