Officials with the Coffee County Sheriff's Office reported today the arrests of three individuals believed to be involved in a home invasion last week that resulted in one victim being hospitalized with multiple physical injuries.

Just prior to midnight on Dec. 12, deputies were dispatched to 76 Spanish Oak Street, Lot 3, in the Oak Park area of Coffee County in reference to an assault. Contact was made with a male victim at the residence, and authorities immediately observed he had been beaten and had several scratches and cuts on his face, as well as a severely swollen jaw.

The victim told officials that two males and a female had forced their way through the back door of his home and started beating him. The assailants, the victim stated, eventually drug him outside the residence and continued to beat and kick him.

Neighbors eventually came to the victim's aid, and the three individuals ran away from the location. The victim was transported to Coffee Regional Medical Center, where he received treatment for his injuries.

Coffee County detectives responded to the scene, and identification of the suspects, as well as leads to their location, was developed with the assistance of citizens. The suspects were located and apprehended in different locations in the Oak Park area.

The following individuals have been arrested and charged with aggravated battery and kidnapping in this case: Julian Minix (22), Haley Watson (17), and Joshua Ryan Weldon (22), all of the Oak Park Area.  Minix was also found to be in possession of marijuana and what was believed to be methamphetamine.

The three remain in the Coffee County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
