Indian Creek Elementary School’s Greta Grantham is the Coffee County School System’s 2018-2019 Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Grantham was named Teacher of the Year at the school system’s annual convocation meeting, which took place on Thursday, Aug. 9 at Coffee Middle School.
The system announced teachers of the year from each individual school at the end of last school year. A short press release issued by Indian Creek at the end of last school year had this to say about Mrs. Grantham: “Mrs. Grantham teaches kindergarten and is always willing to go the extra mile not only for her students, but for everyone at ICE. She is involved in many activities such as the Character Education program, Math Club, and Creek Choir. Many, many thanks to Mrs. Grantham for all she does for ICE.”
Teachers have been back at work all week. School opens tomorrow – Friday, Aug. 10 – for the 2018-2019 year.
