The Community Foundation of Central Georgia is currently accepting applications for its annual scholarship programs. Students across central Georgia can apply for scholarships for the 2023-2024 academic year through March 15 at noon.

The Community Foundation’s scholarship program consists of more than 40 scholarship funds established by donors interested in helping students across the region pursue their educational dreams. Students may apply for specific scholarships and be matched to ones for which they are eligible by completing the common application available through the Foundation’s website. Information about scholarship opportunities is available at www.cfcga.org/for-students

“Each year scholarships provide life-changing opportunities for students across our region,” said Kathryn Dennis, president of the Community Foundation of Central Georgia. “All of our scholarships are as unique as the donors who created them, and we are thankful for the individuals and families who have established scholarships that allow students to continue their education.”

Because scholarship funds are established by individuals, families or organizations, each one has its own specific criteria and requirements reflective of the donor’s values and interests, and awards vary in size depending on the fund. Applications are reviewed by local selection committees in order to ensure awards are made on merit to deserving students who meet the criteria established within the individual scholarship funds.

In spring of 2022, the Community Foundation of Central Georgia awarded more than $372,000 in scholarships to 165 recipients across central Georgia.

Students interested in applying for scholarships should visit www.cfcga.org/for-students. For questions about the scholarship program, contact Monique Pitts-Taylor, scholarship director, at (478) 750-9338.
