Three-time national weightlifting champion and Coffee High junior Range Robinson, 16, has been selected to represent the United States at the 2023 International Weightlifting Federation Youth World Championships in Durres, Albania.
A member of the Coffee weightlifting team, Robinson won USA Weightlifting national championships in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Robinson is currently ranked 10th in the IWF world rankings.
“I’m humbled and honored to be selected to represent the United States in international competition. Weightlifting is something I’ve enjoyed ever since I picked up a bar for the first time many years ago. I never dreamed it would lead to this. I’d like to thank Coach Mike Booth and Coffee High School for providing the platform for this tremendous opportunity,” says Robinson.
The competition will be held from March 25 through April 1. In addition to weightlifting, Robinson plays football and runs track for the Trojans.
