Willie Maude Spell, age 95, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2020 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Spell was born on August 31, 1924 in Telfair County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Dave Bishop and Ethel Hulett Bishop.
Mrs. Spell was a seamstress and a member of Franklin Holiness Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Francis Spell.
Survivors include two daughters, Frances Paulk Smith (Harry) of Ambrose, GA and Margie Nell Harper (Conway) of Douglas, GA; five grandchildren, Roxanne Nugent (Pat) of Ambrose, GA, Crystal Lott (Benji) of Ambrose, GA, James Victor Paulk, Jr of Ambrose, GA, Cecil Blaine Paulk of Ambrose, GA and Ashley Spivey of Pearson, GA; nine great grandchildren, Steven Paulk, Chandler Paulk, Victor Paulk III, Ava Barton, Grace Barton, Dallas Spivey, Alli Spivey and Colleyns Spivey; one great great grandchild, Ford Conway Lott; sister-in-law, Jackie Morgan of Douglas, GA.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 4:00pm at Douglas City Cemetery with Rev. Steve Willingham, Rev. Harold Barnes, Rev. Lonnie Spikes and Rev. Darien Wilson officiating. A family visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 from 5pm until 7pm at Sims Funeral Home.
Due to the coronavirus, attendees are asked to comply with the current guidelines and restrictions concerning the containment of the coronavirus, including social distancing of six feet of separation.
