Mr. James Hobert “J. H.” Trulove, age 98 of Douglas, passed away Friday evening, March 22, 2019 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a short illness. Mr. Trulove was born March 13, 1921 to the late Virgil “Virge” Trulove and the late Kate Webb Trulove. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Maxine Bullen Trulove; three sisters, Clara Rae Dodson, Lois Crane and Opaline Collier; and two brothers, Herman Trulove and Earl Trulove.

Mr. Trulove was a native of Itawambe County, Mississippi. He was employed in the timber and real estate business. He was also a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Trulove was a member of Trinity Non-Denominational Church. 

Survivors include: Daughters Beth Moore and husband Gary of Douglas and Judy Foskey and husband Billy of Douglas; brother Murl Trulove and wife Mildred of Douglas; grandchildren Drew Moore and wife Sissy of Broxton, Jonathan Foskey and wife Marenda of Quincy, Fla., Solomon Foskey and wife Alyssa of Valdosta, and Mendy Rentz and husband Daniel of Douglas; great grandchildren Brayden Foskey, Brittney Foskey and Zoe Foskey, all of Quincy, Fla., Lincoln Rentz and Aubrey Maxine Rentz, both of Douglas, and Silas Foskey and Malachi Foskey, both of Valdosta; step-grandchildren Matthew Rish, Marshall Harper, Mason Harper and Allie Pridgen, all of Broxton; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held Monday morning, March 25, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Non-Denominational Church with Rev. Floyd Musgrove and Rev. Donnie Kirkland officiating. Mr. Trulove will be placed in the church Monday morning at 10:00 A.M. to lie in state until the funeral hour. The entombment will follow in Dixie Mausoleum at Douglas City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Word and Song Ministries – 179 Bethel Road Douglas, GA 31535. Funds will be used to help build a church in the Philippines.
