Alton was an impressive man who dearly loved his family, friends and life in and around Coffee County. In his younger days, Alton was a large influence in the mobile home industry in Douglas. In 1982, he and his wife, Joyce Hope Carver, opened a real estate brokerage firm on the west coast of Florida, in which he was actively involved with until retirement. Alton was an accomplished musician and never far from his beloved piano. Also, he had a great love of aviation beginning in the late 1960’s when he became a private pilot.
