A two-year drug trafficking investigation in Coffee County culminated Wednesday with the arrests of seven men on numerous federal charges.

Officials with the Coffee County Sheriff's Office, Douglas Police Dept., Georgia Bureau of Investigation Southeastern Regional Drug Enforcement Office, U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, and regional state and federal probation officers located and arrested the following six individuals during a sweep of the county beginning Wednesday morning, April 26:

1. 31-year–old Donzel Fussell of Broxton

2. 51-year-old Cleveland Tanksley of Douglas

3. 37-year-old old Samuel Scott Cade of Douglas

4. 37-year-old Antwan Hunt of Broxton

5. 46-year-old Craig Moses James of Douglas

6. 51-year-old Robert Lee Brockington of Douglas

Also arrested was 45-year-old Rodriguez Sedon Carter, formerly of Douglas, who was located in the Atlanta area.

Authorities are still looking for 32-year-old Kevin Michael Butler on an active federal warrant for his arrest. Butler is a black male, approximately 5'07", 280 lbs., with brown eyes and black hair. Butler is known to move between the Douglas and Broxton areas.

The seven defendants made a first appearance in U.S. District Court in Waycross Thursday morning. All were denied bond by the judge, with the exception of Cleveland Tanksley. The suspects remain in the custody of federal officials, and all have been charged with multiple federal crimes including narcotics trafficking and weapons charges.
