On Monday, July 24, officers responded to a residence in response to a 911 call about a possible domestic dispute. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with a witness who claimed they heard 21-year-old Pascual James Guerrero arguing with another individual about some missing money. According to the report, the witness stated that Guerrero then came out of his bedroom yelling and cussing about being accused of taking things that weren’t his.
The witness stated that after Guerrero got in the individual’s face and threatened him, he went back to his room and she heard what she believed to be a shotgun racking. Multiple witnesses stated they knew the 12 gauge shotgun was not loaded because there were no shells for the gun in the home. The report states that Guerrero came back out of the room and ripped off the counter top, punching walls and picture frames, and grabbing a kitchen knife while threatening to kill another individual who was in the house.
According to another witness statement in the report, Guerrero left the home when 911 was called. It was noted by an individual who was there at the time of the incident that Guerrero has anger issues they have been dealing with for a while.
Officers were not able to locate Guerrero at that time when they arrived. They eventually arrested Guerrero and charged him with aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats, and criminal trespass. He remains in the Coffee County Jail.
