SGSC STEM Center to hold STEM Fest 2017, Great American Eclipse

South Georgia State College’s STEM Center will be holding STEM Fest 2017 Thursday, August 17 on the Douglas Campus. STEM Fest 2017 will celebrate space science in preparation for the upcoming total solar eclipse. STEM Fest will include a traveling planetarium, moon bounce, lab simulation, rocket launching, and more! The community and all SGSC students, faculty, and staff are invited to participate in this free event from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on SGSC’s front lawn located on Quincy Circle.
“We are so excited to host our first STEM Fest. We’ve worked really hard to bring an event that is educational and engaging to learners of all ages,” says Sarah Braswell, STEM Center Coordinator – Waycross Campus.
